Many cultural and heritage works and many unique cultural festivals have been restored, creating new attractive cultural features for both domestic and international tourists. New forms of advanced cultural expression, modern technologies have been promoted.

   Mr. Le Hoai Trung said that, after 24 years since it was first organized, Hue Festival has made great strides, showing more and more beauty, imbued with unique characteristics. The nation's deep culture, the romance, charm and depth of Hue city, with many modern features, including the combination of leading technologies in cultural production and creativity. Hue Festival is also increasingly the international features, a place where many peoples around the world demonstrate their unique cultural beauties, helping to promote cooperation and friendship, and together build a world of peace and prosperity based on colorful cultural background. Hue Festival thus not only contributes to promoting tourism, economic and social development but also contributes to vividly demonstrating the country of Vietnam with its cultural traditions and deep international integration.

   Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Chairman Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee said that following the success of the previous Hue Festival, this year's Hue Festival Week will continue to spread community spirit.    Inheriting and promoting the great achievements that have been achieved and the outstanding potential along with the unique values ​​of history, culture and heritage, Hue Festival 2024 will continue to affirm and determine to build Hue into a typical festival of Vietnam, being one of the unique cultural and tourist centers of Vietnam, making an important contribution to successfully implementing the goals of Resolution 54-NQ/TW of the Political Ministry with the goal of “By 2025, Thua Thien Hue will become a city directly under the Central Government on the basis of preserving and promoting the value of the ancient capital’s heritage and Hue cultural identity”.

   After the opening speech, there is an art program consisting of 3 chapters: Magical Ancient Capital, Converging Fragrances, Everlasting gorgeous; is a festival of sound and light that demonstrates creativity based on the cultural heritage values ​​of the nation and humanity. The art program is elaborately staged with the support of modern technology. The performances performed on stage will demonstrate Hue city's sustainable development with the aspiration of “Everlasting gorgeous” as well as proactive integration with the four directions for mutual development.

 

With the theme “Cultural heritage with integration and development”, Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 takes place from June 7 to June 12, gathering nearly 30 art groupes from France, Belgium, Spain, Canada, Japan, China, Korea and Vietnam will bring to the audience dozens of art programs imbued with the identities of many cultural regions around the world. Art programs will blend in the ancient space of a ancient cultural capital with 08 heritage sites honored by UNESCO.   Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 has main activities and programs including: “Festive Beginning” Program, Opening Program of Hue Festival Week 2024, The Street Festival “Cultural Colors”, Performance programs of domestic and international art groupes, Royal Banquet, Music program “Talking about Trinh Cong Son – The found Love”, Light Festival, Beer Festival, Floating Lantern Festival and Vegetarian Cuisine Festival, “Tam Giang Waves” Festival, Closing Program of Hue Festival 2024 “Be with Hue Festival”.  Besides the main programs and activities, there are also companion and response activities, socialization programs and many other community cultural activities.
