Mr. Thierry Vergon expressed that he was very impressed with Hue city and its people.

   “French plays an important role, helps to exchange and promote all fields of Hue city. The French - Vietnamese cooperation of Hue city has been strengthened in recent years, especially in the field of Culture. For the French Institute in Hue, Hue city always creates the favorable conditions for the French Institute's activities to bring the desired effect of the French side as well as the authorities and people of Thua Thien Hue province and Hue city, as a "bridge" for the cooperation relationship between the two countries locally and contribute to the common development for both sides" - Mr. Vo Le Nhat, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee emphasized.

   Mr. Vo Le Nhat also confirmed that Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 organized by Hue city from April 28 to May 5, 2023 aims to further affirm the brand and position of the Festival city, continuing and promoting the achievements of Hue Traditional Craft Festivals from 2005 to present, thereby, Mr. Vo Le Nhat would like to send invitation to Mr. Thierry Vergon as well as the represetative of French side to attend. Mr. Thierry Vergon - Cultural Attache of the French Embassy in Vietnam shared that he has known about Hue Traditional Craft Festival for a long time. He confirmed that France will attend, and also send French art delegations to participate in this festival to create the colorful atmosphere at this Traditional Craft Festival.

   Within the activities framework to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France (1973-2023), the French Embassy wishes to organize an artistic lighting event in Hue in 2023. Hue City will include this event in the plan of the important cultural and artistic activities in 2023.

   Besides, Hue city also hopes that Mr. Thierry Vergon and the French side will have supported for Hue city’s cultural activities in the future, supported Hue city in maintaining the cooperative relationships with other cities, regions, localities, associations of France; strengthened the training activities in the field of culture and heritage conservation for Hue city officials.

   Mr. Thierry Vergon confirmed that the French side always accompanies Hue city in the development process, unifies to strengthen the further cooperation relationship between two sides.
